Greatest Albums of the 90’s(1999)
1999. Another great year in Hip-Hop. Besides the fact that by now we as a culture had gone pop. The last year of the 90’s brought us the first Eminem joint and that was some new ish. Dre was back making a classic album. Dont believe me go play it right now. I MISS MOBB DEEP. Nuff said. Pharoahe Monch & Mos Def are still at it till this day and this year they both drop classics. Yeah it was hard to even place them in order. I could jam to any of this albums right now. With that said let me start it off.
5. The Slim Shady LP by Eminem

Man lyrically Marshall is a beast. Has flow and skillz to back them.
Track: Role Model
4. 2001 by Dr. Dre

Who you think found Marshall??? The beats & the Emcees he gets to make this album makes him a great producer.
Track: Forgot About Dre
3. Internal Affairs by Pharoahe Monch

One of the most original albums ever. Yo Klay where is Jovishes at??? LOL
Track: Simon Says
2. Black On Both Sides by Mos Def

Classic!!!! Only thing i did not like was that the videos did not match the album. They put out wack videos. so i will give you one of my favorite tracks of the album.
Track: Hip-Hop
1. Murda Muzik by Mobb Deep

This is one of the last of HARDCORE East coast beats with lyrics to match. CLASSIC. The name says it all. MURDA MUZIK!!!!!!
Track: It’s Mine

Who is Pharoahe Monch. That’s a joke right? I agree about the statement regarding Mos Def’s video choices for Black on Both sides.
